I Like My Job, the Company That I Work For, and I Have a Pretty Good Salary But…
Hey Y’all. Sorry not sorry but this post is straight from the hip, lol.
I recently started another job after being RIF’d (Reduction In Force), “laid off.” Getting laid off definitely sucked especially this time around.
This was not my first time being laid off, however, it was what I’d like to call “a veery lucrative job.”
I was make paper that I never made in my career so I was totally bummed out about being laid off this time around.
However, I think the company did right by in my final weeks after. You see, I was able to get my final two pay checks, severance pay, and my quarterly bonus.
Not bragging at all, I cleared at least $18K after being laid off. Not too shabby at all.
Then, I started a new job right after. Word to the wise, always be applying to other jobs. Getting a job takes at least 60-70 days from when you first apply until you are hired.
If you do not have that long to wait in between jobs and you know something isn’t right at the job that you’re in, hit that job market while you’re still at your job.
Don’t get too comfortable out here. You can be everything that your company need and they’ll still find a way to get rid of you. #facts #message
