When I left my corporate job, it was filled with alot of self-doubt. I was vulnerable and quite frankly I had no type of protection.

Managers and higher are some of the most protected employees in a company. There is no love for individual contributors, the work horses.

Therefore, I took matters into my own hands and said, “to hell with all of the corporate bull crap.”

I’m at the point of my career where I see thing way more clearly than I use to. Incompetent management constantly afraid that their team is way smarter than them and for me that’s typically the case.

I’m a certified Proposal Management expert with the majority of my career being in tech. I loved what I did.

However, I never felt protected. Well, here I am preparing to close out month 5 since leaving my corporate job.

While, its not easy, I will say that my mental is way better in terms of not having to deal with corporate bureaucracy, hate, and ambiguities.

Oh and I know better than anyone, without me, the team is suffering and underwater especially with Federal bids.

When you lose the trust in your team, bad things happen and I truly feel sorry for anyone else who comes in behind me.

Enough of the sad story, I actually want to report on the status of my projects that I’ve been working on and that are in production.

iChatPDF
In my last post, I wrote about iChatPDF and launching it and can say that it is fully launched in production and have users.

I’m most proud of my work on iChatPDF because it checked off all of the boxes that I wanted:
1. It’s a micro SaaS solution.
2. It solves very specific problems.
3. It’s something that I personally use in my proposal work.

Some challenges that I’m seeing from my launch:
Either I’m having difficulty with people finding it highly valuable, they’re simply bombarded by AI-based tools, or they don’t  understand.
